Mr. Cherubim was key in helping me realize that I want to spend a large portion of my life practicing some form of science. To a high school student, AP chemistry had this daunting and brooding presence, but Mr. Cherubim has a way of showing students to not be afraid of it and to instead make both chemistry and science in general their own. Because of this, I entrusted Mr. Cherubim to write one of my letters of recommendation for college. He has a talent in capturing and manifesting a student's potential, helping both themselves and others realize it. He did this with me and so many others, and I cannot wait to see him help other individuals hopefully discover their love for science (or other subjects) as well as their hidden abilities.

I had Mr. Cherubim as my integrated science and IB Physics HL teacher. In those classes he made the content accessible and interesting by connecting the topics to real-world examples. Additionally, he helped me develop problem solving skills that I have applied in both my IB exams and college exams. Overall, he helped me build confidence in my STEM skills and encouraged me to pursue my interest in physics in college.

Mr. Cherubim was hands down one of the best teachers I've had the luck to have. In his Higher Level Physics (IB) class, he explained concepts super well and gave one-on-one attention to all students to ensure our success. And the results speak for themselves with all of his students achieving top IB scores in Physics. The learning and technical skills he instilled in us have made the transition to university very smooth, so I can only recommend him.

Collin’s wonderful ability to make challenging astrophysics concepts fun and easy really shaped my experience at the Harvard-MIT Science Research Mentorship Program. Collin was my tutor during my sophomore year of high school and I had a very good experience with him. The topic that he helped me with last year was physics but it was clear he had knowledge from many different topics. He would help me complete homework and teach me things even my teacher didn’t teach. Collin would always be very patient especially since it takes me a little while to understand things in the way that they are taught. Collin always came up with different unique ways to teach, so that I could better understand the material that I didn’t understand. At the start of my meetings with Collin I had a C in my physics class but after I met with Collin there was immediate improvement. At the end of the year I ended the class with a B+ so there is clear benefits that I received from working with Collin.
